Anthony's Weiner...What's the Big Deal?
Anthony Weiner, D-New York, did some stupid, juvenile stuff. Some stuff that probably pisses off his wife. Some stuff that indicates he may have some issues. But unless he knowingly sent obscene material to underage people, I fail to see what the big fuss is about (it's actually about selling tv commercial time and print ad space, so I DO know) and I fail to see why he should resign. It's juicy, yes, but not criminal or even particularly degrading or dangerous. Anthony Weiner has his faults, but he is and will hopefully continue to be an outspoken champion of liberal values. Please, let's move on to the next juicy scandal and let him get back to work!

There in is the problem with the liberal front. I guess you wrote the same thing about the other NY congressman (R) that did the same stuff and had the decency to step down.
ReplyDeleteI still fume over the fact that in 2000 and '04 we heard from the liberal left that it was a mistake to have Dubya as president, because he might have done cocaine in college. Where the heck were those gripers when a professed cocaine abuser ran for President? what is that coc-head doing now -- oh yea, screwing up the economy and playing golf, living in the WH. Guess the left needs to apologize to Dubya.

You wouldn't have caught me complaining about Dubya's coke usage...I think drugs should be legalized. I was more upset about warrentless wiretaps and other subversions of the Constitution. As for the economy, I'm not so sure O is screwing it up, but more like trying to unscrew it...which doesn't happen overnight. O ain't perfect, but he ain't so bad. :)
